I have a pair of rocks with similar origins. Born from deep within the earth when volcanoes released their elements to the surface. They mixed with sediments and silica, then cemented into colorful forms and lay in wait to know their purpose.
In due course, the ocean called, and the rivers delivered them to the open sea. They journeyed independently for immeasurable lengths of time, lost with hopes of being found. Knowing where they came from, though uncertain of where their fates were bound.
Beckoned by separate seasons, they arrived at the same distant shore. Then were gathered and reunited, divergent paths found in familiar company once more. Alluring individually, though when together, elemental art. Joined by the earthen soul of their creation, they will always be together, even when they find themselves apart.
